Description
City of Waterloo is inviting artists to respond to a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the development of a new public art work. The total all-inclusive budget for the final design of this Public Art project is $18,000.
For the purposes of this competition, an artist is a person who is critically recognized as an artist, possesses skill, training and/or experience in their artistic discipline, is active in and committed to their art practice, has the ability to work within a collaborative environment, and has demonstrated experience creating art. Demonstrated experience creating outdoor public art will be considered an asset.

Description
City of Waterloo is inviting artists to respond to an Expression of Interest to participate in a mural project along Hughes Lane. There are several opportunities available with plans to hire 8 to 10 artists. The total all-inclusive budget for the final design of this each mural will range from $500 to $1,000.00, depending on the size and scale of each installation.
For the purposes of this competition, an artist is a person who is critically recognized as an artist, possesses skill, training and/or experience in their artistic discipline, is active in and committed to their art practice, has the ability to work within a collaborative environment, and has demonstrated experience creating art. Demonstrated experience creating murals will be considered an asset.
