Pools and splash pad

We have one city-run indoor swimming complex, outdoor pool and a splash pad. Check our swimming page for drop-in schedules and the programs page for lessons and leadership courses.

Indoor pool

The Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex is home to an indoor swimming complex (what we call the ‘Swimplex').

The Swimplex has a variety of pools, a diving tower, springboards, a waterslide and a splash area for children. Male, female and alternate-needs change rooms are available.

It's open year-round with the exception of an annual maintenance closure in September. Drop-in and registered swimming programs are available.

Outdoor pool

The Moses Springer Community Centre has an eight-lane outdoor pool with two waterslides, a ramp and stair leading into the shallow end. The pool has male and female change rooms, a shaded area and picnic tables.

It's open from mid-July to mid-September. Drop-in and registered swimming programs are available.

Splash pad

The Lions Lagoon splash pad has been decommissioned and a new splash will open in mid-July, 2020 as part of the Waterloo Park improvements.

Due to COVID-19 there will be some controlled use of the splash pad to ensure public safety.
