COVID-19 safety procedures

Completing City of Waterloo’s Online COVID-19 Heath Screening Form

In order to participate in a City rec program all participants must:

  1. Complete the City of Waterloo’s Online COVID-19 Health Screening Form prior to entering the facility on the same day as the activity takes place.
  2. The health screening form must be completed each and every time a participant and/or a family member enters the facility.
  3. Participants must successfully pass the screening in order to be permitted entry into the facility.
  4. You do not need to bring a printed copy of your results. Facility Ambassadors will check your form details at the assigned entrances.   
  5. For those participants who do not have access to an electronic device, a staff member will assist in the completion of the online health form upon arrival at the facility.

Before you visit 

Do not come to a facility to play pickleball if you:

  1. Have a fever, new cough, shortness of breath or a combination of muscle aches, fatigue, headache, sore throat or runny nose.
  2. Have travelled outside of Canada within the last 14 days.
  3. Have been in close contact with a person with a confirmed or probable case of COVID-19.

To all others, please wash your hands or use sanitizer before and after every visit, and maintain physical distancing of 2 metres.

Visiting RIM Park

Per the Region of Waterloo's Face Covering Bylaw, masks must be worn when entering the building. Masks may be removed to participate in your game.

  1. Players must come prepared for play with their gym attire on, no change rooms or showers will be available for use.
  2. Only players registered will be permitted inside the building. 
  3. Players are asked to gather, physically distanced at Entrance E, 10 minutes before your scheduled time slot. Staff will review the protocols and ensure you are on the registration list. 
  4. Physical distancing protocols must be maintained at all times in the building.
  5. Region of Waterloo's Face Covering Bylaw requires the wearing of masks inside City of Waterloo facilities. Masks should be worn when entering and moving through the facility. The bylaw exempts those who are unable to wear a face covering due to a medical condition, disability, etc. 
  6. Bring your own paddles and balls. 
  7. At the end of the program, all players must exit the facility within 5 minutes through Entrance E doors. 
  8. No refunds will be given once you have registered for a spot. Credits will be provided should the program be cancelled in advance due to unforeseen circumstances.

Waterloo Pickleball Club welcomes all ages and abilities - no membership is required. Connect with other pickleballers in our Facebook group

You must bring your own paddles and balls. All pickleball activities take place at the RIM Park Manulife Sportsplex

  • Programs will be played with 2 people, 1 per court for the first few weeks of play
  • Players get 50 minutes of continuous play, no rotation amongst courts is allowed
