Extreme weather relief

In Step 3 of the Reopening Ontario plan, many of our facilities have reduced hours or are slowly starting to re-open to the public.

Visit our COVID-19 webpage to find out how services listed on this page may have changed.

Our facilities are always open to the public during business hours, but during extreme weather we encourage people to seek relief if needed. Check our closures page for any changes to the below information.

Regular open hours

Cooling specific locations

  • Moses Springer outdoor pool (paid admission) - open daily during the summer. Visit our swimming schedule for details.

You can find more information from the Region of Waterloo's website on extreme cold or extreme heat and humidity and find cooling and warming centres throughout the region.

You can also warm up or cool down at a Waterloo Public Library branch.
